Headlight Problem?

Hey guys, I've been trying to adjust my headlights and it seems that something is messed up. I did it so that the bubble is at the 0 for both, but when I do that, it still looks like the right side is higher up. Any suggestions as to why?

The first one is with the high beam on and the 2nd one is with it off.

I also added links to the original picture cuz it's huge.

Re: Headlight Problem?

looks like a fifth gen. what bulbs are you tryin to make work? and is it stock housing? halogen or HID bulbs?

I made the mistake of trying to go with HID's in stock housing cuz light output was so miserable with stock halogen bulbs. That was a dumb mistake, light output was super scattered(like yours, but times 10 and alot more useless) and was not safe. Now I'm back to halogen bulbs and cleared out my headlights with Turtle Wax Restoration Kit and I can finally see at night.

The cutoff with the halogen bulbs I have on right now seem similar to this, I've accepted it as being normal. The driver side should be lower out of courtesy to oncoming drivers.

I'll never understand why people make multiple new accounts on different sites - but get an answer on one and don't update any of them -__-

Re: Headlight Problem?

^lol I originally found this forum first and posted it here and then found the other one and figured it wouldn't hurt to post on the other one as well. It just happened that the other one got more updates...and it's on tapatalk for my phone haha.

but it is halogen bulbs in a stock housing. Maybe I should just try the turtle wax restoration kit and see how that goes.

and here is an album of the headlights

Re: Headlight Problem?

Are you adjusting the headlight because you had to replace a bulb? If so, you may have put the bulb in upside-down. Yes, they will fit either way. Make sure the bulb is seating correctly before making adjustments. I think there are 2 small bumps on the face of the bulb base, they should line up with the 2 recesses on the inside of the headlight housing.

Re: Headlight Problem?

yes, if nothing else, clear out those headlights! It won't help with the alignment and cutoff line but it will look better. haha
