Help narrowing down exhausts

Okay, so I have some cat back exhausts in mind I like all of them but need other opinions with narrowing it down to one.
1st: Apexi N1
Cons: I've heard its super loud and attracts cops, some people hate the look me Im half and half on the look. The silencer makes it sound like crap.
Pros: Some say theirs noticeable gains due to it being 2.5 and personally I like the sound but worried about the loudness.

2nd: Apexi Ws2
Cons: For some reason on all the youtube videos the revving sounds kinda ehh to me while others say its amazing sounding. Dont know if thats how its suppose to sound. Example:
Pros: The look of the exhaust is 10/10 imo, Sounds amazing when you punch on it. Also no loud but nice and quiet.

3rd: Espelir exhaust
Cons: I don't see much cons but lots of people call it a ricey fart can? Lol and that its raspy. Got me thinking on this exhaust.
Pros: I think it sounds pretty nice but don't want to be labeled as honda with a fart can haha.

Last one :) Skunk2 megapower exhaust
Cons: In all the youtube videos it sounds like pure crap to me lol.
Pros: The looks is nice but whenever I look into the forums people say it sounds amazing and nice, anyone have a video other then the 3 of youtube?
Im only considering this exhaust cause I have someone selling one in good condtions for 150 bucks.
Sorry for the long post, I just don't want to spend 400-600 bucks and regret it.

Re: Help narrowing down exhausts

I've got the Greddy Ti-C, very similiar to the Apex-N1. You're right, sounds nasty with the silencer but sounds amazing with my resonator and no silencer. Very loud but mean, not ricey or tinny. The comparison between it and the typical fart can doesn't really apply.

Just go WS2

looks decent, sounds good - not eye catching to the wrong people.

Re: Help narrowing down exhausts

(Youtube) vids hardly ever do any exhausts any justice at all. You gotta hear them in person to really decide if you like it.

Agreed. People have crappy cameras that just cant catch the real sound. You need to go out there and see for yourself. My friend has the Apexi Ws2, and it sounds sick, not ricey at all.

Re: Help narrowing down exhausts

I was gonna do the WS2 but it was impossible to find. Pretty sure I called every shop between PA and CA and no dice, they were out of stock and the ones who had it wanted over 750 for the setup. Got the Greddy for 585 shipped, no regrets there, but the WS2 is definitely nice; it was my first choice. One thing I can say for the Greddy and N1 style in general is noticeable midrange power gain

Re: Help narrowing down exhausts

I have the N1 exhaust, well half have technically I guess. Loved the exhaust at first, I've had it for over 5 years now. I blew the back out of it several times and had to have it rewelded. (The back face of muffler) And it just seemed to progressively get louder the longer I had it. So for the past year I've had the muffler off, now its just the A pipe and B pipe with a resonated test pipe, and stock apex resonator and its dumping out right at the rear wheel. It's honestly quieter below 3k rpm, but screams in VTEC.

Also, after hearing numerous exhausts in person, I would say go with the WS2 out of those that you have to choose between. Or if you're willing to really lay down some coin, pick up an authentic Mugen twin loop. They look and sound magical.

Thanks guys :) I think Im going to go WS2 it favored it out of all of them. Anyone know the HP increase it gives me? Im going to keep my stock cat and header for now until I can get enough. Also what kind of header should I get? and cat? Also The cheapest I found it was at 586 w/o shipping. is that the lowest Ill find it?

I can almost guarantee that if you place the order at that price they'll call you within a day and tell you its backordered and the price is now magically higher. The ws2 is really hard to find in stock right now

That sounds like a pretty fair price, I would do some more searching to try and find the best possible deal you can get. It's really not going to give you any sort of noticeable gains without also changing out the header and cat at the same time, and that goes for any exhaust. Header wise I would recommend the Hytech Replica if you're not wanting to dump $1000 plus on a header. Vibrant also has a header out for our cars that is supposed to show gains similar to the Hytech Rep. Cat wise really depends on the area you live in and if they do emissions there or not. If not I would just say get some sort of resonated test pipe and stick in there. I'm running a Megan Racing one.
