Oem Parts

Was just curious - Are the OEM parts offered by places like BK Honda and Majestic original run Honda manufactured parts that have been in storage for all these years, or are they newer parts that have been manufactured to OEM specs by (or for) Honda?

Re: Oem Parts

They are OEM original parts that have been in storage, so buy while they last.

At least Majestic is. I'm fairly certain they don't manufacture new parts for any year prelude unless that part is shared with a newer Honda/Acura.

Re: Oem Parts

hi there, I do apologize if my post here is quite late. The topic here caught my attention. Anyway, based on my experience, BK Honda and Majestic are original manufactured honda parts the thing is that, oem original parts are available at the limited days and time only. thanks

Re: Oem Parts

Anyone else think Majestic Honda's shipping prices are stupid? For that small cap that covers the sunroof key hole to manually close it costs 7 bucks but another 8 bucks to ship and 5 bucks to handle? Stopped me from buying from there lol.

It's only worthwhile when purchasing items in bulk.

I buy my parts from Hondapartsnow.com and I have to pay a flat rate of $12 for shipping, even if it's only a $0.86 bolt. I just basically buy enough crap from them to justify the shipping.

Is there a site that lets you buy parts already painted?

Yeah though I don't think I'd ever buy bulk there anytime soon :(

Re: Oem Parts

If you don't like paying the shipping, check your local dealer parts counter.

OEM do some times make more batches of parts. It depends on how many they sell of that part.

Re: Oem Parts

A dealership near me charges me for shipping on parts. That is if they have to order it. I wanted to replace the radio bezel that holds the radio in. They wanted to charge me $90. $20 + overnight shipping. =\
