Re: Brakes

Low pads and/or warn discs. Change them both ;)

Re: Brakes

Warped rotors, has nothing to do with pads.

Re: Brakes

I'm in the same situation. Warped rotors for sure. Going to buy some frozen rotors/power slot and hawk pads. Might as well change the pads while i'm in there since i'm not sure how long the previous owner had them on there.

Re: Brakes

Take your rotors to your local auto parts store and have them resurfaced. They are warped if your getting the shake when you apply the brakes. Are you feeling any pulsating on the brake peddle too?

Re: Brakes

I am having the same issue right now. I have new rotors and pads. It shakes through the steering wheel when I hit the brakes but I dont feel it through the brake pedal. I am thinking it could be a tie rod end in my situation as I already had an alignment done. You could bring it down to an alignment shop and have them give it a shakedown.

That doesn't make sense... If it only shakes during braking it's got to be the rotors. If any other suspension component was at fault, you'd feel it all the time or at certain speeds... Not while under breaking.

Re: Brakes

I'd say possibly a wheel bearing starting to go bad but you should be able to hear and feel that all the time, not just when hitting the brakes, I would say get your rotors turned and go from there.

Re: Brakes

Wheel Bearing makes a humming noise. You can rule that possibility out.

It doesn't have to be the rotors because in my cause it's definitely not. I know it doesn't make sense but like I said the rotors and pads are new. I am thinking that the suspension part that is wearing out on me is more stressed under braking conditions.
