Obd1 To Obd2 Details

I have replaced my stock ECU in my 98 base prelude with a P28 chipped with an S100 Hondata chip. The car is showing a code that there is a problem with the throttle position sensor. I know that my 98 has the sensor down on the end of the motor near the timing belt and that the P28 ECU reads that data from a sensor in the distributor. What is the best way to resolve this issue. Do the sensors transmit the same type of data? Can I rewire the pins on my OBD2 plug that have that output to the corresponding pins that recieve the distributor data on my OBD1 adaptor harness? Thanks!
