Header & Greddy catback install pix

With the help of some PZ members I finally got my stock header and exhaust removed and started the install of my new wrapped header and Greddy Ti-C catback system. I'm installing a resonator to give the Greddy a better tone as well. I'll eventually go Tri-Y or Hytech rep but I had this Megan 4-2-1 donated from a friend so I figured what the hell.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through the install so I'll finish up the pix on Friday and post a review of the header/exhaust setup once I get it buttoned up. So far, the old exhaust and header are removed, the Megan header and flex pipe are installed--I'll get crackin on the catback and resonator in the morning. Its times like these that I really wish I had a lift, I've been crawling around on my back under the car for 4 hours today. Time for a shower.

Here's some pix so far... more tomorrow.

The Greddy system showed up today. Awww yeah

Out of the box. So damn sexy

My starting point..

All the parts, stacked up and ready to go

Finally got the header and rad removed

Took the opportunity to shine up the block a little..

New DEI wrapped Megan installed.. 23 ft pounds on those flange bolts, right?

A better view of the wrap.. I like the look so far

More to come tomorrow, check it out then!

I have a really hot wife who does it for me. Lol

I polished the head and front of the block with a brass bristle brush and wire brush wheel on a cordless drill. Sprayed it down with CLP first.

Re: Header & Greddy catback install pix

Ill post pics later today, finished up the install last night but it was too dark to take any pictures. Also going to the dyno next week after I put in the p28.... we'll see how TypeT's prediction holds up lol

Re: Header & Greddy catback install pix

Well, finally got these pics uploaded... I'm loving this exhaust. With the resonator in place and the silencer removed, it's LOUD but sounds mean, no ricey fart can sound here. I can definitely tell an improvement in performance, we'll see how the numbers shake out at the dyno.
