Removing Center Console

I'm starting to mod my 98, one of the many stock lights that I'd like to change the color of is in the coin holder in the center console. Its' a small LED that is built into the inside of the main center console. If anyone could give me some advice as to removing the trim enough to get to that light. I can handle switching out the LED. Thanks!

they have a write up on installing or shortening your shifter along with removing the center console. The WHOLE thing will have to come out...

It's only like 8 screws though- maybe 6. 2 or 4 are hidden behind the diagnostic plug panel and then two are on the sides, covered by the seats at the rear.

after that, it slides right up and out.
