Re: dc headersi

Anything you purchase will require modification to fit - be it a base or SH.

Vibrant, Hytech, SMSP, Mugen, Bisimoto (avoid that one), any replica on the market... etc.

They all require modification - with the exception of the Mugen.... you might find an SH compatible one but I don't know enough about it to say for certain.

Re: dc headersi

Dc is basically an OEM replacement from what I hear, Stick with the brands Wing said and you should be happy, but if you have other needs for your car I would weigh out which one you would rather do.. Cause the DC isn't a "bad" start.. Know what I mean?

Re: dc headersi

Mugen and Hytech will yield the most gains; more-so if you happen to find a Mugen Twin-Loop exhaust system.

No, they won't.

I would advise otherwise. But we can save that debate for another thread.

You're "x3" is agreeing that his statement of a Mugen twin loop exhaust system would produce the best gains... followed by saying 3" is better....

But yes, 3" will produce the most as far as exhaust systems go.

Re: dc headersi

Mugen (good luck), hytech, bisi. A hytech replica is probably your best bet. I haven't been around for a few months so maybe there is something new and great that I don't know about lol

Any header mentioned throughout this thread will all give a noticeable gain vs a DC - which is basically equivalent to a stock header.

Without going replica - Vibrant will give you the best bang for your buck, around $550 from Rosko.

Mugen is decent, but in my opinion not good enough to pay nearly a grand for it - basically just paying for the name and a few extra ponies. (unless you find one for a decent price used)

Bisi is towards the bottom of the barrel, it looks pretty but not worth the price. I've not heard anything good on that header - even the logic is better.

Hytech and SMSP are over a grand each - and worth the money if you want a decent product both quality and performance wise from reputable companies using their own designs and not replica.

RMF, camp1320 and a few others are no longer made

Then you get into the replicas - logic and hytech replica. Either of the two can be had for under $400 - I honestly don't know which is the better of the two. Besides Vibrant and Mugen, they are the other most commonly purchased headers out there, so if you search you will come across many 'luders with info and reviews on them.

Again - any header you purchase will require modification to fit your car. As in a flex pipe/ or extension to be added in order to reach and line up to your current exhaust.

It's all really personal preference once the details are laid out in front of you. Get whatever you want...

there is a lot better catbacks than mugen.
mugen narrows to the cat and costs double than other, better ones (which doesnt narrow)
