Opinions on this prelude

Hey everyone, I discovers this on Craigslist. It seems pretty nice, don't know abou the engine swap though. Let me know what you think, or if there are questions I should ask the seller.

The red prelude I had on here before is no longer in the picture, this one is however.

Re: Opinions on this prelude

I'm tired of everyone calling their motor JDM when in fact the H22a4 is a USDM version If it was the H22A then it would have been a JDM. Unless im wrong and he has the H22A, which i highly doubt.

He never said they got the motor from the US.. and why do you highly doubt he has an h22a? they are pretty easy to obtain. Good find though, just get papers from the swap and find out what he's lowered on

I say that i highly doubt that it has it because he's asking 5500 for the car. And says that the engine has about 50k in it. Unless he got the engine for around 1k. It is probably an H22a4. Since most complete H22A's run for around $2000+. Even if the engine didn't come with the intake or exhaust manifolds it would still be worth a pretty penny.

Re: Opinions on this prelude

Good find looks like a good deal if he has paper work to prove. Give it a good test drive. and see if it passes.

took the words from me, but if you just plan to do little things to it it would be a really good car.

Re: Opinions on this prelude

Wow good find on that sh! I'd jump on it quick cause it looks like a great deal if everything checks out. As for the IAC it's probably idling fast then slow when it's cold and you can just take it apart and adjust the butterfly valve it's not that hard. Good luck!

Re: Opinions on this prelude

Meh. Shoot an offer like 3500, see what they say. 150k miles , 2nd motor? That is a mistreated car. Probably has the check engine light, wrong year engine and you have to drive it before even talking money.

150k miles are just about when everything non mechanical breaks down. I sense much upkeep young Jedi.
