SRS Light?

Ive got a '97 Prelude euro spec and when I got the car the previous owner said he took it to a shop to fix the SRS light(stays on) and they couldnt do anything. Is there anyway I can get this light off? I just need it off to pass inspection asap.

Re: SRS Light?

I have my SRS on bc I got into an accident n my bags blew. After gettin new bags that clearing it wouldnt work.

You have to either find someone that knows how to flash it or go to a dealership to flash it but they're gonna charge an arm n a leg!

Re: SRS Light?

Only Honda can turn it off, of u can pull the bulb. I read somewhere that it turns off if their is something wrong, and that Honda has it to turn on about ten years after manufacture for an inspection. In va they did vehicle inspections and I just pulled my bulb to pass.

Re: SRS Light?

You take the two out of the top, and it has two clips on the bottom. You just gotta pull it out. Then the actual cluster has four screws and u can pull that, bulbs r on the back. If you can't get it ill take some pics, but its fairly easy, then again I have the fifth gen

Re: SRS Light?

First lower your steering wheel all the way.

Then remove these two screws.

The screwdriver is pointing to the lower clips holding it in.

Next remove these four screws.

Disconnect these two blue connectors.

Disconnect the grey connector.

The screwdriver is pointing to the bulb you need to remove.
Install in reverse order.

Re: SRS Light?

DONT PULL THE BULB! Go on scp "socalprelude.com" one of the guys on there did a write up on how to get the light off with a paperclip! I haven't done it, but when listening and talking with some of the guys, it sounds promising. Sorry I dont have the link but don't go through all of the hassle of pulling a bowl but when you can use a paperclip.
