Proactive Maintinance

ok so I have a question. I have read the standard Transmission problem threads and have yet to see this addressed. I purchased my Prelude with 165,000 miles and I have service history that Include timing belt water pump at 130,000 and a Transmission rebuild at 130,000. My initial thoughts were..Great Someone already dumped the cash into this car and I should be good for another 50-60,000. But after reading that these tranny's like to fail I am left with the question of "what can I do to extend its life?"

Has anyone had success with Transmission additives? BG Products? whatever? any suggestions would be helpful. The tranny as of now doesn't slip or make any noises. I am just trying to extend life as much as possible.

What are your thoughts?

I'm guessing you have the automatic. It's transmission is crap, do the 5spd swap. As for the additives, I wouldn't recommend it. Some ppl like them, but I don't trust them. Choice is yours, bit I wouldn't use them. Just don't dog on the transmission cause that's what'll kill it if you've got the auto.
