Break in Method for new motor. Any thoughts?

So im hopefully driving my car around today for the first time in a while. what do you guys think about this break in method? sounds pretty legit to me. I dont wanna beat on my car, which i wont. but putting load on the rings before the cross hatches in the cylinder dissapper is very important. and this guy backs that up to the fullest. idk tho let me know what you think.

Any other methods let me know im willing to read anything to make sure this process goes well!
- thanks

so make sure your fluids are all at the right levels and to manufacturer's specs. Then you want to prime your oil pump by cranking the engine without starting it to build pressure. start the engine and hold it at 2000-2500 RPM for 20 minutes to make sure any dust or dirt that may have gotten in during re-assembly is caught in the oil filter. at the end of those 20 minutes change your oil and filter then drive your vehicle for 1000 kms varrying your acceleration a lot (meaning don't drive at a constant rate all the time) but don't push it. change your oil and filter again after 1000 kms and then you are good to go to beat on it all you want. :)
thats right out of my text book. I'm an auto technician :)
