When I changed the tranny fluid on my auto accord I filled it up at the tranny dipstick. I used a really long funnel to get it in there.

Re: swap almost done stupid delay. help!!

For the speed sensor, just unplug the electrical connection, take out the bolts, and pull it up and out. To make it easier to get to, take off the intake and grab a wobble socket extension. I believe they're 10mm hex, just like everything else on the car :)

There should be a tranny dipstick that's very low. Like justblazin420 said, you need a long funnel to fill it up. I just made a home-made one from hard-pressed paper. lol

Manual transmissions do not have tranny dip sticks.

Re: swap almost done stupid delay. help!!

There's two plugs, a drain and a fill. The drain is obviously going to be the lowest one. the Fill plug is going to be the hardest to get to. you may have to use a hose attached to a funnel or something to get to it. Honda specs say fill the transmission until the fluid level is AT the bottom of the fill plug's hole. Any extra will spill out. use 10W30 or 10W40 motor oil, OEM Honda MTF or (as I've heard) Redline makes some good Manual Transmission fluid.

Easiest way to fill the tranny; thru the breather tube

Re: swap almost done stupid delay. help!!

They also make an attachment that screws on qt bottles, it has a hose going in the bottle, a push down pump and a hose coming out from it. Takes about 15-20 pumps and the bottle is empty. Just fill it on a level surface till fluid comes out the fill hole.

BUstr mostly changed my tranny fluids so I guess I nvr got to asking out of curiousity.

But the breather tube you speak of is that metal type tube on top of the tranny that you can basically snip off the tip of the tranny fluid bottle and keep squeezing the fluid into right? Of course cuttin a hole at the bottom of the bottle while filling to allow easier flow of the fluid to enter the tranny?
