Maintenance Light Help?

Alright so here's the deal. My maintenance light thing (not really a light but the color swatch) turned yellow and then shortly after, my check engine light came on. Just yesterday the maintenance light turned red and the check engine light went off. Any ideas as to what might be happening? I know I need to go get it coded but I haven't had anytime. Since I won't be doing much driving at all this weekend I'll most likely wait until Monday to do anything.

Re: Maintenance Light Help?

the maintenance light just tells you when to change your oil, it has nothing to do with your check engine light coming on, or at least it shouldn't. to make the maintenance light green again just stick your key in the switch thing right next to it. as far as the cel, like you said, pull the code(s) good luck

Re: Maintenance Light Help?

By maintenance light do you mean the Service Engine Soon light? and Yes if your wondering if you have a code. I have had many customers come and get their codes checked only to see that the Service Engine Soon light was on yet a code still came up on are scanner. Alot of the time its a misfire or something else. By the way what was the last time you did a tune up. Many codes come up as basic tune up for spark an wires. and PS the longer you take the more codes that accumulate over time.
