Type s intake

I want to get a type s intake but I'm worried about damaging the intake since I have an ESP strut bar. Has anybody had any problems having both installed on a 5th gen. I know upsluders tore with the strut bar on anybody else have problems?

Re: Type s intake

yeah, ive noticed that the ESP bar comes really close to any intake. it came close to my AEM CAI too. im not sure that it is the exact reason it tore it, but the bar was pressing it down a lot

Re: Type s intake

That's what I'm trying to figure out before I spend the money on a type s intake. If it was the the strut bar are just a fluke that yours tore. I was hoping some other members had the same setup so they could shed some light. I know that the type s strut works fine. It don't want to have to buy the strut and top hats if I already have a strut bar that might work fine.
