Help choosing headlights

My prelude came with halo headlights and one of them were out and we can't seem to fix it and don't wanna deal with them anymore.
Black or chrome housing??? My halos were black and i Like them but I chrome looks nice too on some ludes I see. my Prelude is Electron Pearl Blue If this makes any difference Im planning on going with a black/EPB color combo.
Also are these headlights good? Yes no?

^^ I agree, ebay projectors outputs are nothing compared to a personal retrofit with quality projectors.

They are expensive but so worth it in the long run. Just get in touch with prelude1897 because they have different set up for different prices.

Re: Help choosing headlights

Go with the depos then get P1897 to retro them. (there's another member on here that does them too, but I can't remember his name - if you're reading this say hi mate!)

There are no other headlight mods worth doing.

Alright. Ill contact him soon. Good thing I didn't buy my HID'S yet. What's wrong with the eBay projectors? Like what makes them crappy?

Re: Help choosing headlights

ebay halos are cheaply made and have poor light output since they are not meant to run hids through them.

Re: Help choosing headlights

i have the lights you are referring to in the original post. the light output on them is fine. they came with my car when i bought it. i was never 100% happy with them for a few reasons though. the white plastic bars that go left to right do nothing. the ring around the bulb also does nothing. the high beam/running light cookes the paint off the inside of the housing below the bulb. the only accent of any kind are three leds between the white bars. a big disappointment really. as for the light output, it has nothing to do with design or housing. the hids only project forward so it doesnt matter if the housing is made up of dried rhinocerous poo. and since the hid casing is also pretty standard, that just leaves you with the bulb. i just recently had mine completely apart and the hid casing was all tarnished inside which would reduce the reflectivity of the inside and absorb more light than usual but brand new i suspect they would work fine. in the end, the overall appearance is black plastic and plastic parts. the only thing i would change about that would be perhaps a carbon fiber overlay or chrome inside or something just to give it some flash.

Re: Help choosing headlights

Can you buy Depo's with projectors already retrofitted into them?

Or would you have to either do it yourself OR get someone on the forums who does it?

thanks boys

dont mean to jack the thread but its a quick Question figured it'd be better just to ask on here and get it done with

You have to do them your self or get a member to do them. prelude1897 the guy who posted above your does them. He did mine and they are the ones posted in this thread for comparison do eBay style headlights.
