About to change my oil; adding seafoam

Well I'm about to drain my old oil, but first I want to add seafoam to rid of some of the oil sludge and grime built up on the camshaft assembly and possibly anywhere else. Do I only add 1/3 can of it into the oil?

Re: About to change my oil; adding seafoam

it's 1.5 oz of seafoam per quart of oil, so about half of a 16 oz can (1.5 oz x 5 qts = 7.5 oz of seafoam).

it's also recommended to leave it in the oil for at least 30 miles before changing it to give it a chance to work. might as well dump the other half through the pcv hose or brake booster hose while you're in there.
