a little smoke

I noticed the other night that when my car was under load there is a bit of smoke coming from the exhaust. I could see it in the headlights of the car behind me. It's not a lot but enough to catch my attention. I think it mainly happens when Vtec kicks in. Is this normal???

Re: a little smoke

When engaging VTEC, your engine will burn some oil. Its with every H22-series engines, mine burns a bit of oil as well.

Re: a little smoke

with the mileage on your car, even with moderate vtec engagement, keep an eye on your oil level. I'd go so far as to say check it weekly.
