Nonono, the CRANK drives everything; oil pump, balancer shafts, water pump, etc...
I've blown up an oil pump before, so I've been there.

You SHOULD only need an oil pump, but its impossible to tell w/o tearing the motor apart. Cuz if your oil pump blew, you most likely starved a lot of components of oil, and you might be on borrowed time.

If I were you, I would make sure the balancer shafts rotate freely by hand, and if they do, replace the oil/water pumps, seals/gaskets, and belts with new OEM (NOT EBAY!!!) parts, which should get you by. But like I said, you might be on borrowed time for your bearings, etc...

thanks i went oem and i got gates for the belts. i also purchased the manual tensioner conversion kit. i looked and there is no scoring. so im gonna just replace the oil pump. if it does fail ill buy another and reuse the parts i just bought.
