Question about climate control.

I Just have a quick question. Would the auto climate control unit just "plug n play" in a us model 5th Gen?

Re: Question about climate control.

no, it requires extra sensors and motors you need to source from other Honda models.

Re: Question about climate control.

requires extensive wiring, modification to the air mixer control, installation of various sensors....... did I mention you must remove the entire dash?

not very many people have it installed and completely functional. I just so happen to be one of those people.

Re: Question about climate control.

it will take over a few days, at least, for a very skilled installer.
on a scale of 1-10............ it was a 20.

I only say this because there is NO instruction or DIY on how to complete this. you have to be very good at circuit tracing, and wiring to do this.

I didn't do mine, it was done while the car was apart for the motor build. I shared my builders pain with daily phone calls, and doing my fair share of pouring through usdm and jdm wiring diagrams... If I ever take the dash out I'll trace it out for people, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

a mod on pp is currently attempting this on his lude and is planning on doing a DIY. just wait on it.
