All at once, or what I did was take the head off then tranny and block together. Either way its not that bad. Just keep track of all parts. U never know what your gonna need again. Good luck. What's wrong with the motor u have now?

Re: Best way to replace engine.

all at once .. just make sure if your doing it on the ground get an engine leveler makes it a lot easier to pull the motor out at an angle . the leveler helps a great deal .. also if you pull the crank pulley first it gives you a little extra clearance ..

Re: Best way to replace engine.

Yea you have to take the tranny out as well, And before you pull be sure to remove everything around the engine, its a tight squeeze to get it out. If you want i can email you instructions that are in the helms

Its easier to just take both out together. Take radiator out so you can have more room to move around. And the crank pulley can be left on but its easier if you just take it off. Its pretty simple to remove them. The helms manual should help.
