"trans" cooler. Trans being an acceptable abbreviation of transmission. Tranny is a term used to describe a transvestite.

Re: How do you install aftermarket tranny oil cooler on our auto ludes?

You said it right there: manual transmission.

Transmission Gear oil is not transmission fluid. What you want is an automatic transmission cooler. But why? You towing a boat behind you? Any ways you. Just need the kit, comes with all the parts and instructions. Never saw the use, and honestly, when your automatic fails, you're gonna want to change over to a 5-speed anyway. So wait for the auto to fail.

Re: How do you install aftermarket tranny oil cooler on our auto ludes?

Well actually I want to upgrade to an aluminum radiator, thus the need for the oil cooler. I am planning for a 5 speed swap next year and can use the aluminum rad with the swap also so in my opinion it's worth to do it now. And again does anyone know how to actually hook it up? Maybe a write up with pics. O also my tranny is doing pretty good write now has 117,000 miles on it.

Re: How do you install aftermarket tranny oil cooler on our auto ludes?

If those threads aren't enough for you to do it, then you should probably find someone that knows WTF they're doing. The hardest part about adding a cooler to an automatic transmission is finding a good place to put it, unless you're an idiot. Not pointing any fingers or anything.

I believe the one on the right side closer to the block is the outlet.

To Be sure why not just disconnect both hoses and connect 2 longer hoses on the brass fittings, start the car, the hose that spits out fluid will be the return, be warned, lots of fluid will come out even if it's just a few seconds. If I remember correctly, the brass fitting that's longer is the return.
