What to do next with my prelude?!?!

hey so i bought a 2000 honda prelude 5 speed.
so far it has stage 3 clutch, headers, short sifter, msd rotor, aluminum radiator. im pretty sure thats it. the way the car looks it bangin i love it, only thing i want to do is to make a boser style hood with halo lights and then the look will be pefect.
but now i want to talk about performance,
eventualy i want to turbo my lube so i can smoke my friends g35 and when my one friend drops his ls1 motor into the 240sx i want to smoke him too. but right now i have about $900 cash, what should i do; ecu, exhuast, pistons?
i want something that will cost me about 900 with labor or less since i want to do the hood and the lights soon.

Re: What to do next with my prelude?!?!

I would just keep saving it to be honest. Turbo parts are gonna run you some money, way more than 900, so I would just start looking at everything I need, make a list and make sure I'm not missing anything before I buy. That's just me though. You could go ahead and buy the snail that way your somewhat invested already, no turning back. I usually try to buy a small part of something I'm trying to do that way Im invested and I know I have to hurry and buy the rest of what I want, if that makes sense. GL

Re: What to do next with my prelude?!?!

you cannot build really much with 900, maybe get 3" exhaust (if youre going boosted)

you have to have several thousands for piston/internal jobs, dont even dream to start them with under 5k's. dont build crap engine.

like cams and valvetrain parts itself costs something like 2000 + work if youre not doing them yourself

I dont really understand these people who have big plans but no money... why to even think something what you cannot do?!
if you dont have money now, you dont have that kind of money for a while

3" exhaust has proven to be beneficial to even stock h22's. Can't go wrong with it, no matter what direction your build takes.

Re: What to do next with my prelude?!?!

Idk how much you love your lude an how long you tend to keep it

But id do the 3in exhaust an or obd1 conversion with a tuneable ecu
Less headaches in the future but you'll understand all that in do time

Goodluck

Re: What to do next with my prelude?!?!

^Truth^

Take your time. Save for the turbo. See him when your ready. Personally, save to get the hytec replica headers, 3"exhaust, a stage one cam kit, and a tune. Stay factory for the most part. Turbo is nice, reliable is nicer, not to downplay our boosted brothers, but they can all agree, turbo=upkeep+watchful eye on new gauges.

Pics pics pics !

Re: What to do next with my prelude?!?!

Do the retrofits. You might find someone wanting to unload theirs for cash + your stock headlights.
