My Lude revs and speeds by it self please help

Hey guys I'm new here and this is my first post, I really need some help with my lude, last night around 4 in the morning I was doing about 115 mph on a bridge and once I got off the bridge there was a lil ding on the road that I didn't see... When I drove over it going that fast the car made a scratching sound from under the car, and after that the car started to rev by it self and speed, when I put it on neutral The rpm goes up to 5k, I don't know what's going on or if it's something major I hope not I love my lude

The car is lowered.

If you didn't put in the fact that you were going 115mph someone might have helped you out.

Re: My Lude revs and speeds by it self please help

Did the throttle cable fall off the throttle body? If you had the throttle wide open and hit a nasty bump like that it may have fallen off when you let back off the pedal.

I don't judge

Re: My Lude revs and speeds by it self please help

If it did fall off you'll want to tighten the tension on the cable to prevent it from happening again. You can adjust the tension via the two nuts that the cable runs through on the throttle body; you'll need two open ended wrenches. Good luck!

His location says colorado.

I agree with an issue on the throttle cable. Not many things could really cause you to keep such a high rpm.

I agree with throttle cable, but stop speeding on public roads, idiot. I've lost way too many friends due to dumbass people "just having fun."

Bro leave the 115mph joyrides on the track. You'll get to keep your drivers license, your car, and probably live a bit longer.

I'm not concerned with his life, I'm concerned about the innocent lives he could take. You feel like risking your life, go for it, couldn't care less, but you have no right risking others.

Just don't ever do it in traffic.

Re: My Lude revs and speeds by it self please help

Maybe the cable fell back into place on the throttle body then. I would check the tension on it still just to ensure it won't fall out of place again.
