Megan's EZ

Yo, what up pz.

Went to da element's pad last weekend, hit up Mike's garage and now I'm riding Megan stiff

Handling's drastically improved with little to no body roll. I've also noticed an improvement in acceleration both on the curve and on the straight at both low and high speeds. I initially wrote an explanation as to why I think this is, but I didn't wanna sound like a jackass so I'll spare you all the rant..

I think this is a perfect entry coilover, considering how aggressive your driving can get compared to stock. New tires would probably do wonders, but for now, I'm for sure happy with what I got!

Camber's off by 1.2 and .7 degrees on the front right and rear left.
What pissed me off was that when I looked at the spec sheet, the rear toe was off by 2.3mm from max spec (sitting at 6.3mm), which is pretty much the tolerance, with 2.0mm being nominal. So I told my mechanic I wouldn't trip if he was only off limit spec by a few, but that might just eat the tires. I told him to fix it.

The dude pointed at the paper and he's like, "but look.. you only got a 2-wheel alignment.." FVCK!

Ah, but it's fine, next time she's in there gettin' smashed by my mechanic, I'll have him measure the tread.

Cuttin' the chase..

Mail!

Front.

Back.

Adjustable damping.. Haven't messed with it yet..

The lude.

Re: Megan's EZ

If i had to guess somewhere around 2 1/2 front and rear .... sits close to as low as mine and im 2 3/4 front and 2 1/2 in the rear .. i have to say ive seen alot of coilovers and im impressed with the quality of these . Szeth give it a few weeks to settle and we will make sure its all even . Then you can get it aligned again and take care of that rear tow ..

Re: Megan's EZ

Glad you guys like it!

I was thinking wheels cause the rear almost looks like it's got a negative camber (cause of the fat tire), but I'm thinking that whatever I do to her, I'll try to keep the stock look.. Don't wanna make my ride a target under the wire.

Yo Element, let me know what's good for the weekend, I owe you too many favors!

I'm stoked on how awesome these coils are. I can't compare since this is my first set, but the more I drive around on 'em, the more I feel I've made a good investment. No noise, no bottoming out, no scraping, everything seems to be in order! I almost wanna drop the front more. Don't know where I read it, but someone's like, "once you go low, you'll only go lower.."

I only paid $635 shipped. Got it from Coops Customs and it took a week to get here directly from Megan. Megan's in CA and I'm all the way across the country in MD, so I was happy with the quick service.

No problem. My buddy Josh picked up a set, and I was skeptical at first. He unboxed those toe arms and they're quality.

megan actually has a lot of quality parts. I've spoke with the owner on multiple occasion. HIs product just never took off like skunk2 or tanabe etc so he doesnt have the rep. Good stuff tho.

Re: Megan's EZ

Yeah, static, those are the ones. I also gotta look into 'em more and see how they'd affect my driving habits..

Hey merlin, let us know how they work for you and whether they're easy to install/adjust, etc..

Oh, and about the colors and the quality, I'd be more than happy to stay with the blue theme, that powder coated finish on the coils is pretty nice, I'm guessing it'd be the same on the toes..

from the look of the skunk2 (dunno if they even make them for preludes) they have a port for greasing the heim, which is awesome. the eibach and megans look to be sealed.

Re: Megan's EZ

Wow, i never noticed the nipple there on the Skunks, very nice.. You may have just made my decision for me now with that.. I've been skeptical about Skunk2 and how quality their stuff really is.. But they are starting to look better. I just prefer a company that specializes in one thing, the fact they dabble in suspension and camshafts and intakes kinda scared me, but they are looking better to me lately.
+ 1 for noticing the grease nipple !!

Skunk2 Lower Arm Bar

but ya, i bookmarked em cause they actually are made for the Lude, well these ones are for the 4th gen.. Looks like they are meant for all the chassis codes too.
