Icon14 Leaking Oil

My 5th Gen is leaking oil.

I took it too a mechanic and he told me to change the Vtec solenoid Gasket, Crank seals, oil pan gasket and timing belt and water pump.

Another mechanic from honda washed my engine bay and told me to drive it around for a couple of days and then bring it back it to exactly pin point where the engine is leaking oil from.

My motor is also burning oil. Although it is not burning too much oil i would like to fix the problem now before it gets outrageous.

Please advice on what my options are?

Re: Leaking Oil

h22s are known for burning oil as they age. i'm about to change the oil pan gasket and hopefully that stops my slow annoying leak

Re: Leaking Oil

it's a common problem...Just going to have to start changing all your oil seals, gaskets, and o-rings. Most you can get to without dropping the motor, but some such as the front and rear main seal you'll need to drop the motor to get to
