New exhaust for the Lude

So i just ordered a Megan Racing full cat back exhaust (NA type) for the prelude a couple weeks back. Should be getting here soon Pretty stoked. Anybody had this exhaust before? Anything i should know? Was thinking about getting a test pipe too maybe.

My thoughts exactly. Looked up a vid on youtube of this dude with Megan
cat back on his prelude to make sure it sounded good before i bought it. Cant stand the raspy sound of bad exhaust

Re: New exhaust for the Lude

The megan exhaust is junk. Sorry to rain on your parade but you get what you pay for. Nothing beats ktellar pipes with a vibrant resonator and muffler. The megan exhaust is the same as the ebay no name exhaust. Its cheap and will start to rust the first day it rains. Why didnt you just wait and save your money for an exhaust thats actually going to get you some gains in hp instead of the ricer aka megan junk? I hope you dont think it will sound good just because you heard a sound clip on youtube. Its raspy as hell..

first, I bet that no one can feel the gain difference between any exhaust vs oem ...only some dyno paper can tell you that "wow, I gained 5 hp" and so on

second, atleast Skunk2 make exhausts from true stainless steel, thats why they cost more - better materials

Re: New exhaust for the Lude

You can deffinatly feel the differance in a 2.5 and 3" exhaust. All those off the shelf exhausts are 2.25" which is only .25" bigger than stock. So i doubt you will feel any gains from an off the shelf exhaust..

Im pretty low on cash. maybe ill just wait for more funds to worry about the cat (or lack thereof) lol. im not too concerned about emissions since none of the vehicles have to pass smog tests where i live so i might just punch that stuff out of the cat n run a defouler.
