Euro Prelude

Hey Im US military stationed in Germany and I have a '97 Prelude with the F20A4 and 4 lug wheels. Im trying to get a few parts but order thru American places like ebay or autozone but of course nothings coming up for the euro spec. Any ideas? FWIW Im trying to get spark plugs, plug wires, rotors and pads as well as an oil filter.

Re: Euro Prelude

You may want to try your local autoparts store over there. The F20a was not used in Preludes here, i believe it was specifically for Japan and Europe. I know most f series parts are compatible but i'm not sure if anything is different such as spark plug type etc. I THINK the rotors are the same for a 4th gen Prelude - but you would have to ask on a place like www.preludeuk.com They can be of more help to you and if you cannot find the parts locally over there - i'm sure they can help you cross reference parts for other cars that are useable and have them shipped from the US.

Maybe someone else can be of more help, thank you for serving and update us with any information you may come across - since that car is not of the common for anyone here to deal with.

Re: Euro Prelude

also try this forum. Apparently they have good classifieds. Someone on either if not both of these sites should be able to help you. You won't be able to get parts for your car in the US.

Re: Euro Prelude

what part of germany you stationed? not sure about the other bases, but if you're near ramstein, the auto hobby shop (next to the legal office behind PMEL) can order parts for you. i'm pretty sure euro spec ones too.

Re: Euro Prelude

did you check with the baumholder auto hobby shop? doubt they order parts but it's worth checking. if not, they might be able to put you in contact with the guys on ramstein. it's not to far from chilis. head towards that street that runs in front of the bowling alley, take a right on that street. it will curve to the left. you'll see the gym on your right. follow that street till you come to the T intersection. make a right. you'll see tennis courts and a baseball field on your right and the legal office on your left. there is a parking lot adjacent to the legal office. you'll turn in immediately after that parking lot and immediately before the next intersection. that is PMEL immediately to your right when you turn in. behind PMEL is the auto hobby shop. otherwise, check out GK Autoteile. i believe there is one in baumholder. they're supposed to be the primary parts supplier in the area and have like the cheapest prices. we have a GK over here in einsiedlerhof but their prices were outrageous for a 4 pack of spark plugs, a cap, and rotor they wanted 80 euro. then again, i have an american spec lude. so that might be why the outrageous price. it's either that or check out what the other guys posted.

edit: here is a link to the location of GK Autoteile
