Type-S Intake + Throttle Bodies

Anyone ever matched a Type-S intake to an aftermarket TB, and if so, how?

I've read that our USDM H22 TB's are 60mm and the JDM Type-S is a 62mm. I've actually got a 68mm TB and thinking about just using a coupler/sleeve to mate it to the intake tube rather than fitting one over the other if it's too difficult, do you see any problems with that? Or are there any alternatives I may be overlooking like replacing the whole intake elbow somehow?

Re: Type-S Intake + Throttle Bodies

one guy here cutted that last chambers back wall and pipe off and made there new back end with something like
bassreflex tunnel (he used just rivets and clue)

then just some bigger pipe, short piece of silicone pipe etc

that bass-tunnel-pipe-thing has MUCH smoother edges so you get the air going much nicer (you put that side what shows
in that picture to be inside that intake chamber)

Re: Type-S Intake + Throttle Bodies

They make reducer couplers. I'm sure you can find something at your local auto store that will link them together.

Re: Type-S Intake + Throttle Bodies

If you strike out at the auto shop, try a plumbing supply store. They'll have all manner of PVC fittings!
