Easy TailLight Bulb question, need a little help..

Hey guys, been a while since ive been on, christmass and all the holiday things have kept me pretty busy, but i have a quick question..

Ive looked up the list for the tail lights and it says

Front Turn Signal Light Bulb Size: 7440
Rear Turn Signal Light Bulb Size: 7440
Tail Light Bulb Size: 168 or 7443
Stop Light Bulb Size: 7443

What im wondering is, that i know there are two bulbs for the break lights, one near the honda symbol that lights up for when u turn on your lights, and one for actual breaking.. I havnt yet looked at them both, but are they both the 7443 bulbs?? And whats the 168? Im looking to replace all for above with LED bulbs and also on the advertisement it shows them as 7443/7440 which kinda confuses me, are they both the same size bulbs or what?

heres the add on ddm tuning
http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/7440-7443LED

also what or where is the 168 they speak of haha

Thanks in advance for your answer, I did a few searches, but came up with no specific details to my certain question, I know its an easy one for those who know.. Just need a little help understanding what is what before i order them.. Thanks guys!

7443 is a dual element. 7440 is a single element.

Alright that makes sense, but they are advertised as 7443/7440 like they are the same thing, doesnt give you the choice to choose between either or you know what i mean? Do you happen to know if both bulbs for the break light are dual element? I realize the blinkers are single element, but yet again the ad on ddm sells it as a combination or something.. just a little confused

The LED may function like a dual element by lighting half and half. Id be guessing though.

I mean when i go to add to cart for the 9x3028 it shows up as 7440(turn signals), and for the HP-18 ones it shows up 7440-7443 and also look much different

would that be the tail bulb?

Re: Easy TailLight Bulb question, need a little help..

7443 is dual filament which serves as brake and city light.
7440 is single filament which serves as just brake ONLY.

becareful and read or ask bout having LED as for blinkers bc without a relay that when you signal that they'll flash really fast as if you're in a trance club raving!

My boy bought LED bulbs for his front blinkers and rear. they blink really fast and then shortly after got pulled over by a cop n got a ticket bc he claimed "the flashing bulbs are impersonating a patrol vehicle"! It's BS but that if you dont have a relay to slow down the blinking to normal blinks that it'll cause to blink fast!

My brother also has LED now on his Maxima and they blink insanely fast. He's going to order the relay. i can take a quick vid of his blinker to show you more in detail as to what I mean if you like?

the 168/194 wedge bulb is in the outside corner of your tail lights.

Re: Easy TailLight Bulb question, need a little help..

The previous owner of my 'lude got aftermarket clear front turn signals and put yellow LEDs in them. Caused my blinkers to go fast, so I swapped them out just because I was annoyed. I don't know why they don't put a few resistors in line with these LEDs so the relays don't flip out. I think they'd be pretty sweet, but that fast blinking is a deal breaker.

Yeah, definitely they aren't the same 7443 is the dual filament for turn signals.if used in turn signals will only light up if you put your turn signals. I actually bought one for my turn signals that stay lit up while on the other hand the headlights are on and thus I used to replace them with the bulbs with the 7440.
