Car Not Starting.. CEL On

I have a 2001 Prelude. A couple days ago I was going to work and when I got to work I noticed the D4 light was blinking and the CEL was on. I didn't think too much of it and was just gonna check it out after work. As I was getting back into my car after work my car wouldn't start. It would crank but wouldn't actuallly start. I tried to jump start it and still nothing. I heard the fuel pump turn on when i turn the key to the on position. Then I went to check for spark and I got spark and as I was going to check the 3rd cylinder gas started spraying up from the spark plug tube. I had never seen that happen before. So my first instinct is I probably blew a head gasket so I get the car towed to a local shop and they tell me that my head gasket is likely blown or a cracked head. So I then get it towed back home and drain the oil and it's very milky and it smelled like gas. I go ahead and tear it down and put a new head gasket, timing belt, water pump, intake and exhaust gasket, and new valve stem seals. And i go to start the car and it would crank a few times and then just shut off. I turn the key to off and back to start again and same thing it would crank 3 or 4 times and then just shut off. There is a fuel cut off switch installed on the car and when i cut off the fuel the car would crank until i let go of the key. But when I turn the fuel on the car would only crank a few times before shutting off. Then I remembered about the CEL so I pull the codes and it reads p0700, p0758, and p1790. Those are all transmission codes. Those wouldn't cause my car not to start would it? Sorry for the long story I figured i better put in all the detail I can from the get go.

If the transmission is registering that it's still in drive - it won't start. flashing d4 could be a bad speed sensor or something else with the trans.

But usually if you have a bad speed sensor, resetting the ecu etc lets the car at least start up once but that depends on how bad the sensor is IF that's the issue.

So my friend and I did a compression test today and the results were

Cylinder 1 = 211
Cylinder 2 = 168
Cylinder 3 = 153
Cylinder 4 = 200

We did the timing belt again and its still not starting. We are planning on taking the head off again tomorrow and get it checked out by shop to see if it needs to be machined and do another compression test on it.

No, I think youve got yourself an electrical issue of some sort or the transmission reads like it's in drive. I can't see why your head would need machining if your getting good compression. Just my 02.
