Ecu/atts

hey everyone, ive been looking into upgrading my SH's computer system but have come across some problems, i have a p5p ecu which from what i can tell is not chip-able, also to the left of my ecu are connectors that arent hooked up to anything... im pretty sure thats where my atts controller is supposed to go, so has anyone else taken out their atts contoller? if so did it help or hurt because i dont want to buy a new contoller if it doesnt help me, this way i could also throw a p28 in and tune

Re: Ecu/atts

from what i have read the sh and type-s ecu's are how the atts is controlled. there are currently no aftermarket computers that support atts. i read that you can run a piggy back system but thats as far as you can take it unless you plan on removing atts or enabling it. someone can correct me if I'm wrong. i have recently been researching it as well and thats what i have picked up so far. if i don't sell my type-s i will probably build a new tranny with a wavetrac or quaife lsd and then eliminate the atts system to allow use of an s300 for tuning options.

Re: Ecu/atts

if that atts computer is not in there then you probably have a non functional atts system. Thhat module needs to be in there. Has your engine been swapped to a base / 5sp already? or maby the atts had a issue before and someone just ripped out the computer so no cel?

Re: Ecu/atts

If you switch the type-s tranny with ATTS out which tranny is the best one to switch it with? i thought that the block could only be used with ATTS tranny?

Re: Ecu/atts

the tranny has nothing to do with the block. the atts is a separate unit that replaces the intermediate shaft. the oem lsd tranny is the m2b4 which you can usually find for sale around $700-900.

Re: Ecu/atts

before i bought the car it had a engine swap and a new or rebuilt tranny put in, i thought the guy said it was from another SH but he might have been wrong, can you see the ATTS system in the engine bay?
