Thougts?:KYB AGX - Adjustable Struts for 97 Lude

Looking to buy this KYB AGX for my Lude. Does the price point look good? Are there good stuff? What are my other options with the same price point?

go with the kyb agx they are hands down the best struts for the money .. ive had tokico iluminas and konis and the agxs are better in my opinion .. the illuminas blew out on a 2 1/2 drop in less than 2 monthes and the konis just didnt dampen enough in my opinion .. i love the agx struts .. i have the neuspeed race springs on agxs and its a hell of a combo .. i would suggest this set up for anyone not running full coilovers ...

Re: Thougts?:KYB AGX - Adjustable Struts for 97 Lude

haven't priced them lately, but I really like mine... almost 4 years going strong. I have them coupled with neuspeed sport springs (softer than the race mentioned above) and polyurethane bushings... my ride is pretty stiff, but that was a lot more pronounced when we got the bushings, so I'd say the agxes themselves are pretty comfortable... I am glad I didn't get race springs... too much drop and too stiff for my taste. I run my agxes on setting 3... 4 is the stiffest and 1 the "cushiest"... 4 was a little uncompromising.

Can I use my stock springs? What is the function of the polyurethane bushings?

How much did the neuspeed race springs cost you?

Re: Thougts?:KYB AGX - Adjustable Struts for 97 Lude

they were right around 200 bucks not to bad at all .. you should pay right around 450 for all 4 agxs then around 200 for the springs .. so your looking at 650 for the set .. in my opinion i like it a lot better than any cheap coilover ive ridden on .. just dont have the ride height adjustment they do .. but the quality of the ride and cornering is way better than any cheap coilover .

I have them on my car right now with skunk 2 coilovers slammed, and had them with tein springs 1..5 drop. With both setups they worked great in my opinion. Would reccommend them to anyone

I'd say you could use the stock springs, but then no one can admire your drop!

The poly bushings are less spongy than the stock, so the ride is a lot stiffer. I did not plan on getting them at first, but when the car was dropped on the sport springs and the angles changed, some problems developed...

Re: Thougts?:KYB AGX - Adjustable Struts for 97 Lude

had mine for about 3 years with 3'' drop in the front and 2.5'' drop in the back on 50 bucks ebay coilovers, the ride pretty nice, a bit stiff but nice, if your going lower than 2 inches make sure to adjust the damper to the stiffest setting with i believe is 4...

here's wat it looks like to give u an idea..

or you can get an idea from my sig below..

I'm rolling on them and love them... Only gonna get rid of them when I can afford Tein SS coilovers.
