Electrical/Fuse Issues?

My ATTS light is on so I pulled out the fuse from under the hood and from under dashboard. The fuses are still good so I put them back. Once I did that, now the lights for the gauges are out as well as climate control lights. I pulled out another fuse to double check to see what's going on, now the ABS light is on. What the heck is going on?

Help?

Thanks.

M

Re: Electrical/Fuse Issues?

yikes. I am having a similar problem, recurring like once every month, my ABS light will come on, then after about 5 minutes, the electric all flickers a few times, and the car turns off by itself, driving or not. usually this is dryrot in the main harness, or some other type of damage to the fuseboxes or ecu. pretty hard to pinpoint online, or offline for that matter

Re: Electrical/Fuse Issues?

i also had another similar issue with some off the shelf variety fuses testing intermittent. change them all out with new honda fuses, and if you can swing it get new honda relays as well. they arent the best quality, but new is always good. good luck

Re: Electrical/Fuse Issues?

I just got off the phone with HPN, after they sent me Bussman fuses instead of the Honda OEM variety that I am used to [honda oem will have much larger lettering; ie "7.5"]. He went and checked the shelf, and thats what Honda is sending him now. Im gettin a little worried about the big H now...

Re: Electrical/Fuse Issues?

First things first, did you put the fuses back in the correct locations? The floor mounted fusebox has plenty of blank spaces and if you're not being careful it's easy to replace a fuse into the space next to it.

Re: Electrical/Fuse Issues?

Im guessing you are talking to me, im pretty careful with the fuses and everything in general. the abs issue has been dealt with, wasnt abs related at all, some non honda battery terminal bolts and some other issues were at fault. car had electrical probs to begin with apparently. I also have a break in a red wire behind my dash/steering wheel. gonna solder and heatshrink that soon.

You are correct, there are some empty blocks for fuses that are unused but next to used blocks. and if you dont have an sh, the actual fuse unit will be missing at least two fuse blocks, both are pictured in the cover illustration.

as far as the bussman honda thing goes, Im sure its not a huge difference, but my point to HPN was that I can buy bussman fuses at autozone.
