What would you do?

If you had a 2001 Base in EBP, leather interior, auto, 109000 on the odometer.
Looking for some words of wisdom. What would you do in my shoes?

Something is killing the engine when it's at normal operating temperature. The tach get's skittish and the engine eventually dies. I've narrowed it down to the wiring off of the dizzy. I shake the bundle it goes to and the engine dies, regardless of whether the engine is hot or not.

How much would you put it up for sale as is? I've been trying to fix it since September.

Re: What would you do?

I took it to City Garage in Plano, Texas and they told me it was a bad distributor and asked over $600 to change it out. I said no thanks and took it home and bought a dizzy and put it in myself. Still had the same problem.
I'm not too incompetent with engine work, but messing with wiring seems hella risky to me.

I've been to City Garage in Plano, they overcharge. :p
Maybe there might be some kind of open nic in the wiring which is causing a short. You said it dies when you shake the bundle of wiring. If you could find this open short, and maybe fix it, you'll be good. It might take a while to find though.
