First time with Seafoam for Cat sensor!! Any tips?

So my check engine light just came on after buying the car 4 days ago. Read the code and it says my catalytic threshold is too low....so i take it my cat sensor is dirty. Anyway i got a tip that seafoam ran through the brake booster will clean this up and potentially save me some decent money. Just want to ask all the pros out there if you have any other tips for me to solve my problem without having to replace the cat and or sensor.

I didn't know where was the brake booster line was so I poured it into the vaccum line. Just make sure that you don't pour too much at a time because it will stop your engine. If you have any questions, theres videos on youtube on How to Seafoam your car. Have fun!

That happened to me as well. Day after i bought the car, CEL came on for the same thing. The secondary O2 sensor was only $31 +$3 shipping on rockauto.com so I'm just going to replace it for me.

Yea the seafoam didnt do anything for the sensor so i just reset the check engine light so i can get my emissions done tomorrow...then gonna replace the secondary sensor later on.

Thanks Abel! I actually read through it previously and it was a big help....only thing is it didnt work lol....I wanted to ask though if I were to remove the secondary sensor and soak it in seafoam...would that help clean the gunk out so i wouldnt have to buy another?
