Re: h23a dizzy on h22a question

Mmm your problem could be that you have the wrong dizzy :/

Jdm h22 dizzy has an internal coil

Jdm h23 dizzy has an external coil

Idk why you even tryed that they obviously look different

Re: h23a dizzy on h22a question

i have an external coil distributor from an obd1 h23a1 on my obd1 jdm h22a, and have had no problems. this makes me think that there is something else causing the code.

are you using jdm h22a wiring harness or obd2 harness with your engine?tell me which wiring diagram you used to hook up your obd1 dizzy.

im using a obd2 harness that came with my obd2 prelude and i have to run the four wires from the plug that goes from ecu to the original crank sensor that sits on the oil pump, running those wires to the obd1 dizzy.this is the wiring diagram i used to hooked them up.

OBD1 <-> OBD2 (motor/distributor swapping)

thats the second one i used.

i was using the obd2 dizzy that came with the h22a4 and the original crank sensor but that was throwin a code also.

Re: h23a dizzy on h22a question

can it be throwing a code because the distributor is not adjusted properly?
