type sh mods (help, noob here)

so i just bought my first car, a 01 prelude type sh and i was wondering what kind of mods can i do without taking out or messing up the atts. Can u put i/h/e in an sh without the atts messing up or going crazy on u?

my first mods might be a short shifter. after that, i'm thinking of something like i/h/e or a piggyback system like the e-manage. i guess my question is... what mods can i put on my type sh without messing with the atts (i wanna keep the atts system). thanks!

I/H/E will not lose your ATTS. Your ATTS should remain intact as long as you keep your OBD-II, and don't go over a certain amount of torque (can't remember what the exact number is though). Basically, unless you are turboing, or building your engine up, you're not gonna lose ATTS. Unfortunately, if you want to keep your ATTS, the farthest you can ever go with your ECU control is a piggyback.

I want tuned Hondata s300, but I want my ATTS more

Also, if you are going to do a short shifter install, I recommend searching for instructions on changing your gear shifter to a 4th gen assembly, and then buying a TRUE short shifter. I believe 98vtec wrote up a how-to on how to do that somewhere. The 5th gen doesn't currently have any TRUE short shifters for sale... just adaptors, and from what I understand they can cause problems.

Nothing bolt-on messes with the ATTS.. I've got a pretty good ammount of mods (in sig) and i dont have trouble with my ATTS

Still trying to find some space in my wallet for a flywheel, clutch, skunk2 intake, skunk2 cams and ssr wheels

I would love some skunk2 cams, but I really don't wanna lose my ATTS... ATTS is the shxt. I don't see any point in dropping in cams if you can't OBD1 tune. Piggybacking is alright I guess, but if I'm droppin thousands of dollars into an engine build, I want it tuned right. Oh well, some day I'll save up the money and buy the JDM LSD Tranny

Bad advice, and wrong info. There is a true 5th gen SS on the market. Don't change to a 4th gen assembly. I I'll find the website and post the link, I'm not at home right now so give me a bit.

Actually I was aware of that, however according to numerous posts on preludepower, I've been told that PSPEC may be out of business. The copyright on his webpage is 2003, and apparently he never responds to e-mails. Everyone is afraid to do business with them directly because of that, even Mike (H4L) had like a 4 page long thread asking anyone if he could buy their PSPEC because he didn't want to do business directly on their website.

Go here and read posts from 22 on.

Also, "Bad advice, and wrong info" seemed kind of harsh lol... I don't think it was "bad advice" at all considering many people have done the 4th gen shift plate swap so that they could use the forbidden 4th gen shifter, and apparently they loved it... difference of opinions I guess... I mean, if there is an easier route, then by all means that's the way you should go... but I think that's the only option available at the time if you want a true short shifter, or you can take your chances with a company that never responds to contact attempts, or you can wait for forbidden to release their 5th gen short shifter....

Also, it says this on the ordering web page.

Use the following links to order direct from PSPEC tuning for your application
- 97-01 Honda Prelude Kit. SOLD OUT - PLEASE EMAIL TO BE ADDED TO WAITING LIST
- 92-96 Honda Prelude Kit.
- 94-97 Honda Accord Kit.
- 90-93 Honda Accord Kit.
- 97-99 Acura CL Kit.

But like I said, the guy doesn't respond to e-mails.
