sh bottom block

Do the sh blocks change after a certain year because I just went to go look at a sh block for sale and it looked like a base model block. It had the oil filter in the middle of the block in the back my 97 sh block is different than this. The guy trying to sell me the block came of a 99 sh at least that's what he claims. Does the sh block change in the newer years or is this guy lying to my face an just trying to sell me a base bottom block?

Re: sh bottom block

All SH and Type S(Japan) blocks are the same, so if you plan on buying one, be sure its from an SH cause a base block wont work with your ATTS unit.

Re: sh bottom block

yes i am looking for an sh block since my motor is bad. I am in the process of taking it out and looking to see how bad the inside is since it makes a knock. This is also why i made another post if an h22a will pass CA smog earlier i am looking at that too be a second option if i can get that to work.

tear yours down before you start buying parts. Assuming is how you waste money. We've all been there
