Re: Strut bar

What I did was put on the Black mounts one side first then connected the bar with that side. then put the mount on the outher side and lined up the bar to be centered. mine was a Megan strut bar so It could completely be broken down into like 3 main pieces. hope this helps, it only takes maybe 10-20min to install

Re: Strut bar

the car should be on the ground man. you can't take the bolts off the top of the shock mounts and not expect the assembly to move if the car is in the air.

Re: Strut bar

I think the strut bar is the wrong one. If you guys look at the pictures from ebay. The strut bar has 3 bolts like its sappose to but not on the correct spot, not even close. The only way its almost fits is if I flip the part that holds the bar but then the strut bar faces the wrong way. Idk if you get what I`m trying to say? haha

Re: Strut bar

I always understood a car had to be off the ground to remove any type of pressure against the strut towers so it could be even???
I installed my old Accord eBay strut bar with all fours on the floor.

For my Prelude, I scored a nuespeed for 30 bucks and i raised the car off the ground for that one, PITA btw, at least on the fourth gens, because the bar bolts on to the uca bolts not the actually strut bolts. but it looks nicer.

The neuspeed is probably one of the only struts that you want to install withtthe front jacked up so it releafs some presure. Megan and those other ones you can adjust so no need to lift up.
