2000 SH tranny swap help.

I recently purchased a 2000 prelude SH for a decent price, knowing it may have needed a tranny. I brought it to a shop and made sure to let them know it was the SH and needed the proper transmission. When i picked up the car and looked under the hood, they had installed a m2s4 on it. I asked to see the tranny they took out and that was a m2y4... I was under the impression that only the m2u4 would bolt on properly. My question is do I maybe have an sh with an engine swap, and is that the only possible scenario?

the SH and the Base should have the same bolt pattern for the transmission.

So regardless of atts, it should bolt up? Would my atts still work? Thanks!

Re: 2000 SH tranny swap help.

My understanding is that you need an adapter plate for an SH block. Your ATTS won't work, not that it ever did since m2y4 = base. Your car was either not an ATTS, had a base engine/trans swapped or the ATTS removed.

What made you think it was an SH? Does the VIN match? Are there ATTS lines visible in the engine bay? ATTS warning light on dash?

Yes, vin matches, and ATTS warning light. I believe there was a swap. The H22A4 serial number under my hood starts with 200.... I have another thread up about this issue, which made me think it was an ATTS issue.... When i go into turns the car feels like it dies and comes back to life only when I straighten out again. No idea what it could be!!!
