i dont know what kit i should buy for my 99 red 5th gen... I had an accident last week and im probably gonna get some cash soon from the insurance... im really interested in the Type-M kit, the problem is which brand should i trust..? What material should i stay away from. Also was looking into the oem lip kit and the WWS kit. Please as you can see im having some dificulties choosing. thanx!

Re: Which too choose! driving me crazy!

get whatever you want man. just remember that EVERY body kit, i.e. everything not oem; will require a f*ck ton of body work to make it for right. and if you ever get hit. you'll have to go through that much work again

Re: Which too choose! driving me crazy!

i'd say OEM.. shiittt, i have WWRS on mine now.. been on there for over a yr. but i been lookin for an oem lip kit for a good min. cant seem to find one in good condition, but imo they fit the body of the lude the best.. ultimately its ur decision, depending on ur own taste.

OEM Brotha man. It just looks clean….especially when you get the JDM Fogs with it.

Re: Which too choose! driving me crazy!

I've seen quite a few Ludes, as well as several other cars, sporting aftermarket body kits that look great, but it's a lot of work, money, etc. to get it to that point. Some of the body kits you see in pics online don't look as nice in person, and etc. you've gotta do a lot of asking around for personal pics of them, or try to find one in your area that is done right and see it in person. From there you've gotta find a quality shop that you trust to paint and install everything, which can more often than not be more money than you spent on the body kit itself.

Between how I personally feel about Preludes, as well as how much I like how mine looks the way it already is (below) I probably wouldn't get an aftermarket kit for it. Maybe another car that I both loved and thought it would be worth it for, but not a Lude unless they're like your favorite car.

I've got the full OEM Kit lowered as much as practical

Re: Which too choose! driving me crazy!

If you're going to go with the type-M (mugen) body kit, then I would go with VIS.
Their fit is probably the best out of all the other replica's out there.
They call it the Techno-R body kit.

looks to me to be a type s front lip, need a front shot to be sure
you have the stock painted sh sideskirts
you have the optional oem rear lip, not the stock painted sh one. the rear doesn't look good with those sides and front IMO. I'd try to source an SH stock painted rear.

Re: Which too choose! driving me crazy!

Here's the VIS one on Andy's. Not sure what the shipping would cost, but $382 for the whole kit is a pretty good deal I think.
