HID head lights for SH

Are there any shops in the bay area california that can do a headlight conversion to HID on the 5th gen lude? Done the correct way (ie. no halogen projectors).

The right way would be to just ship your headlights out to Brian in texas for a retrofit.

x2

I'd send to a knowledgeable member of PZ who has experience with the retrofit way before I'd go to a random shop for the job.

Essentially, you cut out the main bulb area of the head light and fit in a HID projector (usually from a TSX for the Preludes). This way you get a true HID light and not just an HID bulb in a stock housing (which looks like garbage and is usually illegal).

Re: HID head lights for SH

Thanks for the information. I'm not very good on taking things apart, but yes I do want it done the right way (HID projectors not just the bulbs). Would it be difficult to take it apart to ship? When receving it back will it be just plugin in where I took it off or will there be new parts have to be mounted?

Re: HID head lights for SH

Check out the eBay halos vs retros thread and you can see brians work and the light out put from retros to halo headlights. It won't let me post the pictures with my phone. Could not be happier with the fx retros he did for me. Completely night and day difference between the 2.

Re: HID head lights for SH

U dont even have to take them apart. Just send him your headlights and he will provide the parts and do all the work. Once theyre sent back, they will be plug and play.

Re: HID head lights for SH

Yes, if you're needing a retrofit done, all you have to do is ship me your headlights, and I can take care of the rest. If your car is your DD, I do have loaner lights you can use while I work on your lights, that way you're not stuck. Hooking everything back up when you recieve your lights back is very simple to do. Would only take you about 10min. Can PM me for any information you'd like to know and/or set something up
