Door Wiring problems

I have a horrible problem!!!! While doing some body work on my 97 prelude, somehow some of the wires got ripped out of the connector that comes out of the body and plugs into the drivers door; the wires are broke off from the terminals. I have lost my passenger window, power locks, entry lights and drivers side speaker. It is a total cluster of a mess!!!

Question is....I'd like to go to a junk yard and just snip off another connector...are there any other honda's that have the same connector and door wiring? Does any other years of the prelude have the same wiring harness?

I am in terrible need of advice on how to fix this!!!!

Re: Door Wiring problems

The chances of you finding a 5th gen in a junk yard are very slim.

If you ripped the wire off - take off the rubber gasket between the door carefully and pull the wire out from both ends - you can just run a brand new wire straight through and splice one end in the door (be sure off to the side to clear the window) and the other end splice right under the dash.

So you're just re-connecting the wires with a jumper basically.... unless you didn't damage it bad enough and can just push it back in. pictures would help to confirm but the jumper will work.
