Icon5 97 prelude sh map sensor

I have an 97 prelude sh and the check engine lights on. I plugged it into a code reader and it said it was the map sensor. I bought a new one at autozone and installed the sensor and reset the car. It still says it needs a new map sensor and it still runs the same as before. Could it be the wires? I'm lost I just bought the car and I'm in love!! Please help!!
