Just got a new '99 Prelude, need some fixin' up

I just got a '99 Honda Prelude (first car!), I love it, super fun to drive and looks great! It just needs a few things changed/worked on.

2 of the motor mounts need replacing, although off the top of my head I can't remember which ones, where is a good place to get replacement one's? Any brands I should stay away from or anything like that? It's an automatic Prelude, base model.

Also, the guy I bought it from lowered it, I like it low, but it can't take our crappy roads. The bottom is beat to hell. He told me he replaced the springs, but I'd like to raise it back to stock height. What springs should I get to do this?

And one last question. Do you guys know of anyway to clean the inside of the headlights? One of them has some serious fog in it, and I'm not sure that I'll be able to afford new one's after I get the motor mounts and springs, so I don't really want to replace it.

Thanks and sorry for the newb questions!

1: stock motor mounts are fine, get them from your local Honda dealer. If you really want aftermarket - go with innovative. i believe 65a is equal to stock but you can go to 75a if you want it to be much stiffer....

2: You need to find out if he installed coil-overs or just lowering springs. It sounds like he just installed springs so you will just need a set of stock springs. - check what shocks you have as well. Who knows if he did it the right way or wrong way... if he installed aftermarket shocks you may need those as well.

3: Are you sure the fog is inside the headlights and not on the outside? it's normal for them to get foggy on the outside, you can wetsand / use a headlight restore kit and then put a layer of clear coat ontop to preserve it - if indeed it's on the outside. Otherwise you will have to remove the headlights and remove the clear cover - there is a writeup on here how to do it. You could just buy Depo headlights if you had the extra money, they're an ok OEM spec replacement.

Thanks!

I'll probably just stick with stock motor mounts.

I'll have to go look at the springs/shocks again, I know very little about them. But I'm pretty sure he said he just put lowering springs on it.

Fog is for sure underneath. I tried cleaning them both off, thinking it was on the outside, they both got cleaner, but there is definitely something underneath.

Make sure he didn't go cheap and just cut the springs, as for the inside of your headlights try the blowdryer method.

Yeah there are several methods to lowering so go ahead and find out which one the previous owner took first.

Keep us updated.
