Icon14 Exhaust!!

I have a 1997 Prelude, all stock. I need headers and a full exhaust! Does anyone know the best brand at a great price? And where can I get it..

Re: Exhaust!!

If you want power - Vibrant header and a custom 3" exhaust with your choice of muffler. <- cheapest and overall best setup you can do...

If you want sound.... WS2 is rather quite, the Evo2 is nice and deep but not easy on the eyes, then the Mugen is nice too but sooo expensive..

The first option i gave is the best bang for your buck and the only one that will give you any form of gain other than sound. There are also hy-tech "replica" headers... but eh your car, your call. Youtube prelude exhausts if you just want to waste money...

Re: Exhaust!!

Hytech replica header. 2.5" apexi WS2 exhaust. i also have another resonator as part of my system as well. just a personal choice. but a ws2 and a hytech will be under 900$ and its a very solid setup

Re: Exhaust!!

Why do you want more than one header when your car only has one? Be able to swap them? Haha. Sorry, inline 4 engines just have one header.

The only way a header is going to actually do any good for your car, is if you shell out for a good one. Those get pricey. And as wing said, get a full 3 inch exhaust, with whatever muffler you want ( youtube has everything ).
The hytech rep made +15 through the midrange, and top end, but even the rep was like 400 bucks. Still worth it IMO
Enjoy.

I have a Greddy exhaust. I love the sound. It doesnt sound like a weed eater, more like a deep sound.

Notice how I said "vibrant" first ;)

I'm not going to throw this guy a face full of "$1300 for a real hy-tech" or "good luck finding a decent condition mugen"

lol

Ahaha. Realistically you'll feel no gain at all with any exhaust setup. Yes, numbers are effected but it's so little it's not worth the... 1k for header and 1k for twinloop setup. Just saying.

My point exactly. lol

Just depends on what the owner wants. I personally want a real Hy-tech or RMF, i'm in for a long wait.

Re: Exhaust!!

I'd say go for the Hytech Replica Header.

As for exhausts there's lots out there. I'd do some research, youtubing, chatting with people who may own Ludes or the like, and find the one that's going to be of high quality whilst sounding how YOU want it to.

Fujitsubo Legalis-R is what I have. I love it! Very comparable to the twinloop.
