Opinions?

Alright peeps. Haven't posted in a while mainly because I haven't really touched my car when it comes to modding or anything. Basically the story right here.

We have 3 cars in our family right now. Parents are going to be picking up a 2011 Jetta TDI (gas saving for them) so my options are:

1. Sell the Prelude. Drive my Acura CL-S for the winter then sell that and buy another car (Looking at an Acura TSX or Lexus IS300)
2. Store the Prelude. Drive the Acura CL-S for the winter then sell the Acura and redo the Prelude (new engine, everything done)

And if I do keep my lude. I'm basically going to be swapping out the engine (since I just hit 200km and the engine is literally done. knocking somewhat) and then redoing the suspension (on springs. want to go on coils) and stance it (I know some of you guys hate that but that's all I want to go for). Setup will be 18x9 +40 VarrStoen ES 1.1.1 and have my car slammed. At this point. I'm going Form over Function since it won't be my DD.

Yay? Nay? Haven't exactly seen too many flush lude's which is why I'd wanna do it.

Re: Opinions?

I had an '09 TSX. Loved it. But quite honestly, the lude handles much better. You won't meet too many people like myself that will go from an '09 TSX (6 speed also) to an '01 SH lude, but money talks. Bought my '01 lude SH for $7k with 75k on the odometer. Couldn't pass that up. If money grew on trees, I would've kept both cars.

Just depends on your situation. My lude is my DD but my commute is 2 mi round trip/day :)

For what it's worth, the TSX is about as low maintenance as it gets. Consider that as you weigh your options. Whenever I see a 2nd gen TSX on the road, a little part of me dies... :(

Re: Opinions?

Keep the cars you have now. The lude can be your weekend car and the cl-s can be your dd.

Re: Opinions?

You're on the wrong forum to be asking if you should keep your Prelude or sell it....

Re: Opinions?

Need to sell one of them by the end of winter. Anyone fit 18x9 +40's on their lude yet? Just curious. Rolling fenders is the least of my problems. It's pulling them and if the tires rubbed on the inner wheel well.

Re: Opinions?

If you try 18x9 being slammed, good luck making anything but 34-point turns. Even if you were to run a 225 tire...

No. I'd be running 215's on them. I had 205's on 8.5 and had no clearance issues and I was slammed so 215/35/18's on 18x9. If anything I'll pull my fenders.
