Tuning/SH handling

Now I know that if i get the greddy emanage i can keep ATTS and handling in my car wont be effected. Im unsure as to how much of a difference it really is to drive around in an SH with ATTS disabled. I've been thinking about getting a p72 because I've seen some go for pretty cheap but i'm not really sure what to do since I dont now how its going to effect my handling. I'm probably not going boost for a while so that's not really a factor but, I do plan on doing headwork and euro-r mani in the next few months so either choice I pick will be fine. Just need some answers on what other BB6ers have done

What other bb6 owners have done.....as in?

Be more specific, are you looking for modification ideas? tuning?

Best option is to search. There are modified SH's out there - quite a few outside of this forum actually.

how is not having ATTS going to affect handling, as in ATTS disabled because of using a p28 or p72 or other ecu

Not having ATTS is just like you driving any normal day. The only time you feel it is when you're turning.


So, you won't really feel much of a difference unless you're used to carving corners and try to take those turns the exact same way without the ATTS on. It wont go in/out of the turn as smooth at the normal speed you're used to - so you would have to slow down about 5mph or so.

well, you can pull the fuse for the ATTS. that would disable it. then drive it around

Losing ATTS is effectively like losing horse power . In a conventional fwd car aggressive turning at the limit is accomplished using a brake ,turn ,trailing throttle technique to bring the rear of the car around .Just face it using any more then a moderate amount of HP on a fwd car, just like lowering your car to much, to bring the rear of it around just turns your car on the street into a plow.



An ATTS car can apply power in a turn, and if needed, can use significant engine power to kick the rear out in an aggressive turn .So in effect removing ATTS is like reducing your engines power because the important point here is not how much available power you have but how much you can actually use in a turning situation.If your just a stop light racer thats just interested in straight line acceleration, then this point is mute.

my only option is to get the emanage so i can keep the ATTS. i dont really understand the differences between this and getting a p72. ive done research but i still dont get it. and would the emanage be something that would work great for boost?
