anyone seen a dyno from this?

Looking to see if anyone has tried one of these out and done a dyno of before and after.

I know its got to be crap, but wondering if anyone has proved it yet...

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

Junk. It will only take away power as they cant spin fast enough at higher rpms.

Give this a read. http://www.wildweasel.ca/HowTo/Auto/eturbo.aspx

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

You have a better chance of sticker bombing your prelude and getting better HP.

19hp per sticker

If it wasn't for the power loss, I'd get one just to hear the sound.

I know, I know, I'm such a ricer

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

No!

And "chips" from eBay don't work either..

You want more horsepower.. Get a real supercharger..

You want better mpg... Get a k&n filter and tune up..

Wow, you'd make the same amount of power with simply a k&n filter lol

I LOLED at that. This is supposed to be an alternative to boost? LOL It would be more practical to make a leafblower supercharger

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

LOL thanks guys, that was good for a few laughs...

I know a guy that used a leaf blower to make a supercharger for his GeoMetro? o Geo something... it was a hatchback... and it gave him significant power, but thats not hard when its like a 1.0 liter engine and weighs about as much as a soda can.

I plan on doing a Jackson Supercharger, I heard they are by far the easiest to install and tune.

which brings me to another question for your guys thoughts, see my next thread...

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

Have to wonder if you could save money on piping, etc. by running a turbo as a turbine generator connected via a capacitor to a roots supercharger on the intake?

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

^im not sure exactly what u r saying.. But if u wanna supercharg and turbo it.. It's been tried.. They really just work against each other..

If something was cheaper.. Someone on here would of already have done it

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

Why isn't this closed yet?

Skip it. There is only one cheap solution: weight reduction. And technically it's not raising your cars hit points. Rolling a 17 or higher on a 21-sided dice does that.

Re: anyone seen a dyno from this?

^^^ What they said.

Weight reduction is mostly free. I would do a search on preludepower to find some good build threads. There a few 5th genners running superchargers, I followed one thread and what I came up with is, it's easier to turbocharge.
